This was an opportunity to break out my reflectors and 24mm lens and be creative. I had the sun for the first half of the shoot but it disappeared behind clouds all too soon. And someone was in a patriotic mood this afternoon.

I don’t think I’ll be getting into wildlife photography any time soon And because I never want to be accused of not having a sense of humor, I had a little fun post processing a really boring shot of a squirrel on a rock (my personal stalker – he loves me!)
It rained on and off all during this shoot. All I can say that the rain always started just as we would step out of the car – it knew we were coming. This should give you a good idea of stalking rain! But the light on rainy days is so wonderful!
